Shine bright like a diamond....

kplatts8

In Sycamore we have been creating and publishing our own diamante poems, inspired by our class text "The Storm Whale".

We first explored how diamante poems are shaped like a diamond and switch between 2 opposite subjects in the middle of the poem. We then collected lots of different nouns, adjectives and verbs to write them. Once we had written and published our poems using our best handwriting, we illustrated them by making watercolour wash backgrounds to match the poem's theme.
